NALA NOTES

1) Certified Paralegal Short Course--2008 Certified Paralegal Short Course will be held April 24-26, 2008 at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville-Riverfront, in Jacksonville, Florida.

Details of the course may be found on the NALA website (www.nala.org), and the registration brochure will be mailed soon. This program is great for those paralegals preparing for the Certified Paralegal exam, and it is a wonderful refresher for those already certified. The program qualifies for continuing education credits toward maintaining the CP credential.

The NALA annual convention and workshops generally include a three-day Essential Skills program, which is a shortened version of the Certified Paralegal Short Course. However, the 2008 program for Oklahoma City does not include the Essential Skills program this year. This will be the only Certified Paralegal Short Course offered for those preparing for the July ‘08 examination.

2) NALA Annual Convention—2008 NALA Annual Convention will be held from July 30—August 2, 2008 at the Renaissance Hotel on 10 North Broadway in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. For registration information and further details, visit the NALA website.
